NASBP 75th Anniversary

The National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP) is the association of and resource for surety bond producers and allied professionals. NASBP producers specialize in providing surety bonds for construction contracts and other purposes to companies and individuals needing the assurance offered by surety bonds. NASBP is solely dedicated to the needs and interests of surety bond producers and serves a membership with personnel of over 5,000 surety agents and brokers.

Working closely with a video production company associate, Schum Creative wrote, directed, and produced a video to commemorate NASBP’s rich 75 years. The video concentrates on three focus areas for the organization — Advocacy, Education, and Networking. We first conducted surveys to gain insight into the organization’s value to their membership. After reviewing the survey results, we selected 30 members for video interviews and flew to the NASBP 2016 Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado to capture their compelling stories. We later visited Capitol Hill to capture b-roll footage and members in meetings with their representatives in Congress.

The final video was shown to an audience of over 500 attendees as well as other related industry professionals at the 2017 Annual Meeting & 75th Anniversary Celebration in Boca Raton, Florida in late April 2017. Segments of the video continue to be used to promote the benefits of joining NASBP to prospective members.
